Mostly active from dusk, this Great Horned Owl was awake and keeping an eye on us at the Edmonton Zoo in Alberta.

Generally the Great Horned Owl is most active from dusk until early morning although this owl was posing for us at Edmonton Zoo in Alberta a great place to visit while on vacation in Canada. The scientific name for the Great Horned Owl is bubo virginianus.
