The colours of sunset turn the water into molten gold as a playful killer whale celebrates a sea lion kill by slapping the water with it's tail fluke.
This picture has captured the motion of the water as the orca lifts it's fluke clear out of the water several times.
Transient killer whales (orca, Orcinus orca, T30's & T137's) after killing a sea lion off Malcolm Island near Donegal Head, British Columbia, Canada.
I photographed this photo with the digital SLR camera model Canon EOS 7D, aperture of f/5.0, exposure time of 1/1000 sec. on ISO 400, as always I used a original Canon Lens, the focus lenght for this picture was 300mm.
