At the end of a day's fishing in Lake Audy in Riding Mountain National Park in Manitoba, Canada, fishermen have put down their fishing equipment, poles and tackle on the wooden wharf. The sunset lights the sky with pink and lavender light and Lake Audy's surface reflects the colours in the still surface of the water. The fishing poles and equipment sit on the weathered boards of the wharf ready for the next day's fishing. The fishermen will be back at their posts the next morning on the end of the wharf hoping that Lake Audy will give them success in catching their dinner.
Established in 1929, Riding Mountain National Park is located in the southwestern part of the province of Manitoba, Canada. Lake Audy Campground is near the Park's Bison enclosure and is about 41 kilometers (25 miles) from Wasgaming. This is a small campground with a delightful little beach for swimming and is a perfect place to stop for a picnic or an evening cup of coffee and enjoy the spectacular sunset. The Lake Audy Campground has less services than some of the other campgrounds in the Park but there is well water and some wheel chair rest room accessible services at the site.
Visitors can enjoy hiking or mountain biking the trails near the Audy Lake Campground and a visit to the Bison Enclosure is well worth the stop. Audy Lake entices you to put in the canoe for a paddle on the lake or to do some fishing. Camera buffs might be interested in not only photographing the beautiful scenery but also the various animal inhabitants of the Park: moose, elk, bear, wolves, or the various beautiful wildflowers that make the Park famous.
