Twenty Bottlenose Dolphins reside at the L'Oceanografic at the City of Arts and Science in Valencia, Spain and this trick is just one of many performed at the dolphin show. Two of the dolphins balance the trainer on their noses as part of the daily show at this aquarium.
The Bottlenose dolphins are very intelligent and they are extremely quick learners so it makes it easy for the staff at the L'Oceanografic to work with them at the daily dolphin show. When some of the dolphins are not interested in the events for the day, they are left alone until they are ready to play.
The dolphin trainer in this picture is very competent with these mammals and full trust is needed between both the trainer and dolphins for certain tricks to be done properly. Dolphins are very energetic and playful, so it does not take much encouragement for them to perform for a crowd of people at each show.
There are hundreds of different exhibits to see while at the L'Oceanografic in Valencia, Spain and it can be a full day affair for families. Be sure not to miss at least one dolphin show as the kids will be amazed at the performance done by the dolphins.
