In the coastal rain forests on the West Coast of Vancouver Island, there have been structures like this boardwalk in the rain forest of Maquinna Marine Provincial Park built so that a trail can be followed easily through.

The coastal rainforest in Maquinna Marine Provincial Park is beautiful and lush and green; many people will come through here and walk along the forest boardwalk trails to take in the scenery and nature. This particular boardwalk trail leads to Hot Springs Cove, which is a natural hot springs located on the West Coast of Vancouver Island and many people think the hot water has healing properties.

As this trail winds its way through the forest in Maquinna Marine Provincial Park, the visitor will be able to see many different kinds of plants, trees and species of wildlife without disturbing nature as they will not be stepping directly on the forest floor. Maquinna Marine Provincial Park is located in Clayoquot Sound UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, which is an area on Vancouver Island that is protected.
