L'Hemisferic, the Palau de les Arts Reina Sofia, and the Museu de les Ciencies Principe Felips at Las Ciutat de les Arts i les Cienies Complex in the city of Valencia, in Spain. As can be seen in the photograph these huge buildings are modern looking in their design and are a fantastic example of forward thinking architecture.
L'Hemisferic refers to the eye shaped dome that can be seen almost in the background of this shot, and appears to be rising our of the water to look over the top at what is going on above the surface. L'Hemisferic also has window openings inside it that look like an eyelid, so it really looks like the eye is looking at you. Inside is also an IMAX theater and a laserium. This was designed by Santiago Calartrava, and was the first building in the whole structure to be opened to the public in April 1998 at the City of the Arts and Sciences.
Now the entire structure is open to the public and people come here to see these examples of modern architecture and to take in all the knowledge that these buildings hold. They are family friendly as well and coming here is a favorite family activity for people coming from all across the world.
