A pristine waterfall situated in Quebec's largest provincial park - Parc national du Mont Tremblant, Chutes aux Rats is one of three waterfalls in the park in the La Pimbina sector. The Chutes aux Rats are accessible by road and are located less than 100 metres from the car park.
This waterfall plunges 17 metres over a relatively smooth rock escarpment which has several viewpoints.
During the fall months, Chutes aux Rats is surrounded by vibrant golds and hints of fiery red as is the entire Parc national du Mont Tremblant as the canopy of the park's surrounding hills are transformed to become a kaleidoscope of colours.
Parc national du Mont Tremblant is situated in the Laurentians region of Quebec - an area well within the boundaries of the Canadian Shield.
