While driving past this herd on the Dempster Highway near Eagle Plains, we caused a caribou Stampede. Caribou are an Elk-like animal which grazes in areas above the tree line, and is well adapted to the arctic tunda of North America.

I photographed this photo with the digital SLR camera model Canon EOS-1DS, aperture of f/10.0, exposure time of 124999/100 sec. on ISO 100, as always I used a original Canon Lens, the focus lenght for this picture was 400mm.
