Situated on the cliffs below the the Cape Reinga Lighthouse, an old Pohutukawa Tree battles the elements. In Maori mythology, the headland is the jumping off point of maori spirits of the dead who then climb down the roots of this 800 year old tree on their journey to their homeland of Hawaiiki.
I photographed this photo with the digital SLR camera model Canon EOS D60, aperture of f/5.6, exposure time of 1/250 sec. on ISO 100, as always I used a original Canon Lens, the focus lenght for this picture was 17mm.
