By 4-6 months of age this Bighorn Lamb will be weaned from its mother's milk and will instead graze primarily on grasses and shrubs. Although the age of sexual maturity of Bighorn sheep varies between animals the average age is around 2.5 years.
Banff and Jasper National Parks in Alberta, Canada are great places to see Bighorn sheep and if you're lucky you'll see them accompanied by their lambs as they graze on the lush grass along the roadside.
