A large blue and white vessel arriving at the Yarmouth Ferry Terminal in Nova Scotia, Canada is known as The Cat and is a fleet member of the Bay Ferries. There are three different routes that this ferry service runs in Atlantic Canada and Maine.The Cat is the only high speed car ferry in the Bay Ferries fleet that travels between Bar Harbour and Portland, Maine and Yarmouth in Nova Scotia. While aboard The Cat you will realize why some people have named the ferry in the class as one of the world's top ten super ships.Depending on which route you are traveling on, it could be about three hours from Bar Harbour to Yarmouth and about five and half from Portland to Yarmouth. Not only does taking the Bay Ferries save you an enormous amount of time and driving, you can sit back and relax while enjoying the scenery.Aboard The Cat you can spend your time watching movies, taking your chances in the casino, enjoy a fine meal at the restaurant, have a beverage or two in the bar where smaller meals are served or shop in the duty free store.
