With every heave of the Maibaum this traditionally dressed Bavarian Man would shout "Hau Ruck". A term not really easily translated into English, it basically means "heave-ho" and ensures that the team of men charged with the duty of raising the Maibaum, lift and heave in unison!In Putzbrunn, the task of raising the Maibaum is done the traditional Bavarian way - by the brute strength of men.
