There are three main populations of Humpback Whales in the world's oceans, those that dwell in the North Pacific Ocean, North Atlantic Ocean, and those that roam the Southern Hemisphere oceans. While we saw this Humpback Whale in the Atlantic Ocean waters surrounding Newfoundland in Canada, Humpback Whales migrate to tropical waters during the winter but return to cold polars waters such as the Atlantic Ocean to feed during the summer months.
