Part of any trip to Alaska at some point will include interaction with the First Nations communities and native american people. The Chilkat and Tlingit nations are as much a part of the state as the glaciers. The ceremonial masks and their famous Chilkat blankets are must sees on any visit . Haines, Alaska is one of the many interior communites and well worth the drive into or is also accessible by cruiseship via the Lynn Canal, North America's longest canal.

This picture is part of the photo album "Native American Pictures" - there are more beautiful images waiting for you.
