During the winter months the Leitenkammerklamm, a waterfall deep in the heart of the valley, is a cascade of mostly ice. The source of the water which supplies this waterfall is the nearby Wildgerlossee (lake) which sits at over 2,300 metres further up the valley.

... Although the hiking trail to this waterfall is not groomed during the winter, there is a paved road which brings the visitor to just above the falls. From there it is a short distance to the waterfall and only minutes to set up the cameras on the wooden foot bridge which affords the best views of this icy cascade for the photographer.
