The Parliament building in Ottawa, Ontario sits on a hill where lush green grass that is fenced off surrounds the government buildings of Canada. The Parliament buildings are a famous landmark and are the most photographed place in Ottawa, Ontario.
While in Ottawa, a trip to Parliament Hill is a rewarding experience. You can visit the buildings and grounds and see the beauty of the architectural design of the building and learn about the historical significance it holds.
Tours are available to the public but there are usually line ups and the tour is about 20 to 60 minutes long depending on the daily events that are happening on the hill. The security is first rate so be leery on what you take as everything goes through a scanning device before being allowed to enter the Parliament buildings.
