At only 30,000 hectares, Paparoa National Park is a fairly small park, however, it is packed with natural wonders, wilderness, and stunning scenery. Paparoa National Park supports an extensive ecosystem from the surrounding mountain tops to the coast. With mostly a base of limestone, the park is full of interesting land formations from deep river canyons, to bizzare layered plate formations like those of the Pancake Rocks. I could have spent many days in the Paparoa National Park, with its diverse landscape - a photographers playground!
