Within this relatively small park, you will find such a diverse ecosystem of lush temperate rainforest featuring the sub-tropical nikau palms, to the extreme of the rugged coast with pounding waves. Each day the sea is sculpting the Pancake Rocks into delicate layers, all to the orchestral sound of the water being channeled and forced through small gaps in the rocks creating some spectacular sprays, and thundering sounds.
