The city of Cannon Beach in Ecola State Park in Oregon, USA has an incredible scenic view as one can stroll along the beach and see the massive rock formation known as Haystack Rock. As the waves encircle the rock, they peacefully break up and surf around the base until they reach the coastline.

As night begins to settle in around Cannon Beach, the lights from the buildings glimmer in the distance. These waves rushing in are just baby steps of what the ocean can do and when the weather and climate changes, the coastline along the Oregon Coast can be vicious.

On stormy nights, the ocean waters off Cannon Beach can pound themselves against these rocks and create magnificent waves and a terrific ocean show. The fury of the ocean along the state of Oregon coastline can sometimes be more powerful than any human could withstand. Storms that appear along Cannon Beach are not the best times to try to become one on one with the ocean world and test the waters.

When things are calm, the base of Haystack Rock is known as the Marine Garden as there are tide pools filled with various types of sea life. This is a very delicate area and if exploring around the tide pools, be extremely careful not to step on any of the living creatures as they can very easily be destroyed.

Nine miles of beach and the relaxing atmosphere of Cannon Beach in the state of Oregon is what makes this a paradise for tourists. The scenery is the added attraction and people who have visited Ecola State Park vow to make a return trip.
