The statue of the Canadian Goose was constructed in 1963 and has become an important landmark for the people of the town of Wawa, Ontario. A previous statue was made of plaster, but the temperature change and fierce winters was more than the plaster could handle, so the second goose was made out of metal.
A beautiful creation which the local residents are extremely proud of and are happy to have the Canadian Goose watch over their town.
