Camping on the shores of Nimpkish Lake on Northern Vancouver Island is a popular summer time activity. The Northern end of Nimpkish Lake is calm and protected making it ideal for camping, barbeques, swimming, and fishing.
The southern end is more for the adventureous, where strong winds blow up and create ideal conditions for sail boarding and perhaps kite surfing. Large waves make for some interesting jumps on a jet ski as well!
