Newfoundland Sunset: Scientific Name:
Megaptera novaeangliae
This Humpback Whale, megaptera novaeangliae, was foraging in the Strait of Belle Isle, off the shores of Newfoundland in Canada, during sunset. After 6 to 7 breaths at the water surface the whale took a deep dive displaying its beautiful tale fluke just as the sunset over Newfoundland. The colours during this sunset were diffused by the clouds in the sky and reflected over the ocean.
