The Kea Bird finds car parking lots very intriguing and sometimes you can find these New Zealand parrots gathering around these lots where they enjoy destroying parts of cars, cameras and robbing small objects.

... mainly reside in the mountains at around 600 - 2000 meters above sea level. When the berries are ripe in the mountain wilderness, the Kea bird is usually farther up the slopes but when winter arrives they head to the lower levels to feed.

The Kea bird is not on the endangered species list but there has been a significant decline in the numbers over the last few years. The Kea is a beautiful species of parrot and even as troublesome as they can be sometimes, nobody wants to see them disappear from their native environment of New Zealand.
