Information about the "National Museum Prague" photograph:

Visitors to the New Town area of Prague in the Czech Republic will find themselves in Wenceslas Square. Everyone is familiar with Good King Wenceslas of the well-known Christmas carol. However, although he was good he never became king, his correct title was Duke of Bohemia, Prince Wenceslas. His younger brother Boleslav had him executed in 935.

Although the National Museum of Prague in the Czech Republic is the most dominant building at the top of Wenceslas Square it is now separated from it by one of Prague's busiest roads.

The National Museum was founded in Prague in 1818 as a national history museum, then in 1890 it was finished in a Neo-Renaissance style. Sculptures by famous artists adorn the halls and staircases. Some exhibitions in the National Museum are changed regularly. The permanent exhibits are of the natural history genre, mineralogy, anthropology and archeology.
