To hike on this track around Motuarohia (Roberton) Island on the East Coast of the North Island of New Zealand you must start at the main beach and climb to the top which ends up in the middle of the island. From the top you get a spectacular view of the lagoons and you can see for miles across the turquoise colored waters. The waves crash against the rocky shoreline below the lush green hillsides.
