The Loarre Castle in Huesca Province of Aragon, Spain must have been a formidable sight to the enemy. Built in the 11th century in a similar style to the Middle East crusader castles, which was quite fitting because the Loarre Castle was located on the borders of the Muslim and Christian territories.
The 2005 movie 'Kingdom of Heaven' starring Orlando Bloom and Liam Neeson used Loarre Castle and surrounding area of Aragon, Spain as the setting for the beginning and ending of the movie. In an interview Liam Meeson was full of praise for the Loarre Castle and remarked on the beautiful sunsets.
