Other purchase options for Livingstone Daisies Flower Picture
Each flower in this picture has a purplish red colored center but the petals vary in shades of bright colours on the Livingstone Daisies. When the Livingstone Daisies are in full bloom in the gardens of the Cape Forchu Lighthouse in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia, the grounds become an array of spectacular hues.
Each plant grows to be about six inches in height and about twelve inches in width when they flower in the summer months. As you can see in this picture, the Livingstone Daisies blossom in shades of yellow, cream, pink, lavender and orange but be sure to catch them on sunny days as the close up when the weather is cloudy.
They do not require an enormous amount of tender loving care as they grow quite nicely in sandy soil that can be very dry and feeding is not necessary. They do like to be in full sun as this is what the Livingstone Daisies thrive on and picking off all the deadheads makes a noticeable increase in the flower production on each plant.
The stems on these plants are usually reddish in colour with leaves that are a greyish green hue but have a rubbery texture with both the stem and leaves having a growth on them that looks like small ice beads. Livingstone Daisies are a very easy annual plant to grow and take care of as long as they are planted in a place where the sun always shine.
While visiting the Cape Forchu Lighthouse in Nova Scotia, the Livingstone Daisies make a beautiful addition to your picture of the interesting shaped lighthouse.
