Along the banks of the unique blue colored water of Lake Pukaki in Canterbury on the South Island of New Zealand, an information centre is located to aid tourists in their travels. Surrounding the information centre is the rugged and arid scenery of the Mackenzie Basin landscape.
The information centre sits at the end of Lake Pukaki and it first opened in the year 2000. During the summer months, the building is fully staffed to provide detailed information for those needing it.
