Information about the "La Napoule Cote D Azur" photograph:

The Chateau de la Napoule on the western Cote d'Azur in Provence, France seems to shelter the sandy beach beside it. The Chateau dates back to the 14th century, although only two of the original towers survived the centuries. The Chateau de la Napoule in Provence, was owned by the Counts of Villeneuve until the French Revolution.

In 1919 American sculptor Henry Clews restored the Chateau de la Napoule in France with the help of his wife who was an architect. The chateau is now a museum, where some of Mr. Clews sculptures are exhibited, and during July and August there are concerts and plays.

From the lovely gardens of the Chateau de la Napoule one can view the bay and sandy beaches of the Cote d'Azur. The town of La Napoule in Provence, France has two excellent golf courses. The 'Old Course' was opened in 1891 and is one of France's oldest courses.

The sandy beach beside the Chateau de la Napoule is one of several in La Napoule and they are considered some of the most beautiful on the Cote d'Azur.
