A beautiful stop along the Glacier Highway is at Knights Point in Westland, New Zealand where you can admire the scenery of the Tasman Sea which unites with the rugged coastline as cliffs tower above the sea. The cliffs are blanketed in lush green flora and a mass of large boulders appear out of the surface of the water at the point where the water swirls around them.
A fog bank sits over the sea making the view limited while the sunlight sparkles off the water. The Tasman Sea covers an area of approximately 1250 miles between Australia and New Zealand and Knights Point is a serene area which was named after a dog who belonged to a member of the construction crew who worked for the Ministry of Works.
