Information about the "Kingman Locomotive Park" photograph:

Signs along the historic Route 66 in the USA mark the various scenic locations to visit while driving along this highway which originally ran from Chicago to Los Angeles. This particular stop is in Kingman, Arizona in the USA where you can visit Locomotive Park.

Locomotive Park in Kingman is home to the famous steam engine number 3759 that was built in 1928. For more than 20 years this ancient steam engine was used to transport passengers between Los Angeles and Kansas City and in 1941 it was rebuilt and ran on oil fuel instead of coal. In 1957 after sixteen years as an oil fuel engine it was given to the City of Kingman by the Santa Fe Railroad and is now on display at Locomotive Park.

Locomotive Park in Kingman, Arizona is a beautiful location and a popular place to visit for an afternoon of relaxation under the shady trees.
