The Inuit Indians traditionally wear beautiful fur parkas to keep them warm. I had an opportunity in Alaska to photograph some Inuit Indians taking part in the Iditarod Race which is an annual event. At the start of the race there are huge gatherings of people which creates an almost festive atmosphere. The trail runs between Anchorage Nome and takes the racers through some difficult country.
