A man named Raymond Mason created this unique sculpture of the Illuminated Crowd that is displayed outside the entranceway of the BNP Tower - Laurentian Bank Tower in the downtown area of Montreal, Quebec. There is a plaque located in front of the Illuminated Crowd that relays an impressive message relating to the sculpture which was also written by the artist.
There are sixty-five figures in total that make up the Illuminated Crowd sculpture and sixty-six if you count the spectator as one. The Illuminated Crowd sends out a mix of messages which involve the truth, comedy and a sense of tragedy. As you stand in downtown, Montreal, Quebec and admire this sculpture, you will see that the people near the front are overcome with joy and wonder, the middle section displays some people talking to one another and the back section of people are mixed with different emotions of good and bad.
