Located just outside of Munich, Germany the Hofbrau Brewery still follows the old traditions and original specifications of making beer from 1589. Three signature beers are made at this brewery, one being the Hofbrau Original, another the Hofbrau Dunkel and the third being the Munchner Kindl Weissbier.
History dates back to 1589 and tells the story of the Hofbrau Brewery with the Duke of Bavaria always having to have a cold beverage. The beer brewed in Munich, Germany was not up to his standards so they had the beer imported until the idea of a brewery arose. The plan was immediately instilled and the building for the Hofbrau Brewery was soon put into action.
The brewery was almost completely demolished during the Second World...
... War but after major reconstruction, it reopened its doors in the year of 1958. In 1980, the brewery was moved towards the outskirts of town and now ranks amongst the most modern in all of Europe.
