The pretty village of Anso in the northwest region of Aragon, Spain is quite small with a population of just over 500. Anso is only about 7 kilometers from the Navarra border and is situated in one of the loveliest valleys of the Pyrenees mountains.

The village of Anso in Huesca, Aragon is quite remote and the people of Anso have their own traditions and even a unique dialect. In the summer months of July and August hikers and walkers will pass through, or even stay in Anso before moving on to Zuriza farther up the Valle de Anso.

The Museo de la Naturaleza, the Anso museum is housed in an old movie theatre and is worth visiting, especially for models of the Pyrenees mountains and detailed displays of the valleys and endangered animals of the area. The Pyrenean bears are one of the endangered species and they only live in the Valle de Anso in Aragon. The parish church, Iglesia Parroquial de San Pedro, looms over the tiny village of Anso and the surrounding wall seems to contribute to the individuality of the people of Anso in Aragon, Spain.
