Back in 1891, the Government House in Regina, Saskatchewan was built and was to be used for a home for the Queen's representatives. Plans changed and it was decided it would be used as a place of residence for the Lieutenant Governors of Saskatchewan which happened up until 1945.
From there, the Government House became a veteran's hospital and then a school until 1984, and then once again it was reverted into an office for the Lieutenant Governor. Now this historic building remains as a working office but it is also open to the public where guided tours will take you through 14 rooms adorned with historic furnishings and over 10,000 artifacts.

... daily by professional landscapers. The gardens blossom in the Spring with a mixture of colorful flowers and plants. A separate rose garden and a herb garden have their own pieces of land to flourish on.
