The town of Freising, Germany is home to approximately 48,500 residents and is one of the oldest settlements in historic Bavaria gaining great importance by becoming a major religious center in the middle ages. The town of Freising is located north of Munich at the Isar River and is in close proximity of the Franz Josef Straub International Airport.

When flying into the Munich airport you can see the two famous hills of this historic Bavarian town. One hill is named Cathedral Hill where the bishop's castle and Freising cathedral sit and the other being Weihenstephan hill where the oldest brewery in the world perches.

The colorful buildings along the street in this quaint Bavarian town all go back in time to historic eras. Visitors and locals stroll the streets on a daily basis but this small town is not considered to be a major tourist stop.
