The clock's mechanism was crafted and manufactured by the House of Vulliamy - renowned royal clock makers in London, Great Britain.
The clock is now under the management of Parks Canada as it was designated a National Historic Site along with the nearby Citadel in 1951. The clock is wound twice every week by Parks Canada staff.
