Kluane National Park in the Yukon Territory in Canada is a stunning place to visit where you can explore greenbelts, beautiful lakes, icefields and glaciers. The park is situated in the southwestern corner of the Yukon and covers approximately 22,000 square kilometers of land.
This particular glacier is one of many found in the valleys around Kluane National Park in the Yukon. The Donjek, Lowell and Kaskawulsh are the three main valley glaciers where large rivers have been created due to the melt from these massive icefields.
This large mass of ice that forms this glacier moves in either a downward slope or outwards in any direction that it desires. In the end, a glacier may end up in the ocean, a lake or even on land. These gigantic pieces of ice retreat continuously but it is usually at a fairly slow pace and is something that could take many years.
