Gannet Congregation Muriwai Beach New Zealand: Scientific Name:
Morus serrator
While standing above the rock cliff at Muriwai Beach near Auckland, New Zealand, you can overlook the congregation of hundreds of gannets during their busy time of year when nesting and breeding takes priority. Either the female or male will not leave the area for any length of time during the nesting season and even after the young birds are born, short feeding and soaring trips are taken.
