This female harp seal was looking out for her 3 day old pup but she certainly made for a funny picture for our animal category. She was aware of the camera and kept popping her head up through the hole in the ice. What makes her such a funny animal are the icicles which are frozen onto her whiskers. This photo is taken on the Ice Floes in the Gulf of St. Lawrence, north of Prince Edward Island, west of Nova Scotia and Newfoundland
