A large freighter ship entering Lock 3 of the Welland Canal System in Ontario, Canada finds it a tight squeeze as it scrapes its bow along the canal wall. The wall angles enough so that the ship will veer towards the lock as there is no more than a foot of free space.
The force of the water churns around the ship as it slowly inches into its tight fit. This is quite a feat which has slowly been perfected over the years allowing the ships to travel afar bringing in many imports as well as shipping many exports.
