Information about the "Four Sisters Kauri Trees New Zealand" photograph:

As the sunlight shimmers through the green branches of the Four Sisters in Waipoua Forest on the North Island of New Zealand, a visitor stops to admire their beauty. The Bush Walk will lead you to these fascinating giant Kauri Trees that tower over the rest of the forest trees.

Kauri trees sometimes join at the base and grow from one chosen location like the Four Sisters in the Waipoua Forest. From the viewing area, which surrounds the Four Sisters, you can have a good look at these spectacular trees, but please obey the signs and stay on the path. The habitat of the Kauri trees is very unique and any unwanted disturbance could destroy the roots of the Four Sisters which could endanger their life.

There are signposts along the highway that mark the Four Sisters Walk, but if you are not paying attention you can easily miss them, especially during the summer when the vegetation is flourishing. It is a ten minute hike to the Four Sisters which starts out walking amongst the low shrubbery of the Waipoua Forset and then suddenly you come upon these massive Kauri trees gracefully towering above you.

Sunny, summer days are breathtaking through the Waipoua Forest in New Zealand as the sunlight gives the Kauri trees a different look. The rays that break through, highlight the different colours that surround the forest and provides a sense of warmth for the trees to continue to grow to their fullest. The Four Sisters are just a small part of the amazing nature of New Zealand and it is at its best when you visit the Waipoua Forest on a day like this.
