During our travels, we not only come across beautiful landscapes but also some magnificent varieties of flowers which add to the pretty scenery. From hardy coastal flowering plants that have to endure the salty sea spray, and prevailing winds, to those carefully cultivated flowers for commercial purposes.
There is nothing quite like seeing a field of flowering lavender bushes with their purple spikes contrasting against the green lawn growing in between the rows, with the occasional rogue white daisy peering out from amongst the plants.
The delicate flowers of fruit trees, the trumpet of the daffodil flowers, and tulips herald the arrival of spring.
