The Plaza Bib-Rambla is a popular destination in the historic city of Granada. Not only does it contain a market, but is also bustling with restaurants, a large decorative fountain in the centre with giants on it, and is where many people come to meet with friends of buy their food and drink. As you can see in the photograph, flower stalls are one of the most popular items to be found here, and the flowers are gorgeous, bright, and of many different varieties. Many fashion retailers have also set up shop here, and it has become a kind of fashion capital for locals and tourists alike.

... 1834 and it was in this square that 'trials of the faith' were held where Jews and Muslims who had converted to Christianity were put on trial for wrong doings against the government, and their fate was decided. Most of them were put to death. Some of the people were even burnt in the Plaza Bib-Rambla, right after their trial was over.
The name 'Bib-Rambla' means 'Gate of the River' as this square used to border a river. The square has changed a lot over time, with added buildings, changing architecture, and of course, the river no longer exists along its edge.
