In the 11th century the monks who lived on the Iles de Lerins built the Tower Castre which is connected to the Cannes Castle and the lovely Chapelle-Ste-Anne, built in the 12th century. The Castle of Cannes sits high on Le Suquet, the name of the hill and the old town of Cannes in Provence, France.
