Fishing is an ancient activity which dates back around 10,000 years. It is used by many cultures and there are various techniques and traditions associated with it.
Fishing is also a big business, and fishing charters take clients out for trophy fishing for species such as salmon, and halibut. Other methods of sport fishing are catch and release which sees the fish released back to the water unharmed - this practice is common in areas concerned about sustainable fisheries.
