In April 2006 we travelled to Europe for 8 weeks, travelling over 10,000kms by car, took more than 12,000 photos, and lost count of how many European towns and cities we visited.
From historic cities with elaborate architecture to the rolling countryside and vineyards of South Tyrol. From steep cliffs of canyons in the Alpes Maritimes region of the Provence, to the azur waters of the Mediterranean Sea spanning the coastlines of Italy, France, and Spain.
We started our Europe 2006 tour near Munich making a week long trip to the region of Bohemia in the Czech Republic and then onto Vienna, Austria before returning to Germany to prepare for the remainder of the Europe trip. We took the opportunity to take in a Bavarian German festival, as well as visiting the village of Freising and the city of Munich.
Besides traveling to the Czech Republic and Austria, we also spent time in Italy (South Tyrol, Tuscany, and Liguria), France (Provence), Monaco, Spain (Catalonia, Valencia, and Aragon), Andorra, Switzerland, and Liechtenstein.
