The eighteenth century cafe, Caffe Florian can be found on the south side of the Piazza San Marco in the shadow of the Campanile, the famous bell tower of Venice, Italy.
The oldest cafe in Venice, the Caffe Florian was opened in 1720 and has been brewing coffee ever since. The Caffe Florian in Venice, experience does not come cheaply. The back bar and counter seats are less expensive than the tables, especially when the musicians are playing.

On November 1st, 1756 Casanova escaped and, as the story goes, he popped into Caffe Florian for coffee before fleeing to Paris. With stories such as this, an expensive meal, or just coffee, would be worth every euro while visiting Venice, Italy.
