Cafe Demel began in 1786 in Vienna, Austria on the Michaelerplatz and was home to a very well known chocolatier. In this bakery you will find delicacies that are made in Vienna and only a trip to Austria will give you the opportunity to try some of this delicious treats.

... Demel who was the original owner's son, took over the bakery in 1857 and uprooted it to its new location in the Kohlmarkt where it remains today. A few owners have run the bakery since 1972 when the Demel family sold it and in 2002 Do&Co took ownership of it.
If you do not get a chance to enjoy the Demel cafe itself while in Vienna, at least make sure you pass by the window displays to see the magnificent creations.
